¶ Over at Mastication is normal (as opposed to Masticate), we are presented with a fabulous satire, Behind the typeface: Cooper Black.

Can’t remember if I’ve mentioned it already, but typographica has some good things typography related. More typography: How to build a logo from letters explores logo design based on ligatures, i.e. joining letters together such as the CNN logo.

Does anyone know of a good ‘smart quote’ algorithm? You know, one that can automatically swap check marks ’ and " for proper quotes, while knowing when to close and when not to close?
